Baia dos Porcos, Fernando De Noronha, Brazilsigned and dated '01
title inscribed verso
Fernando de Noronha is a miniature archipelago off the coast of Brazil which rises from the ocean floor culminating in a 1,060 foot high peak of rugged grey basalt rock surrounded by twenty one small islands. Gardiner's painted reliefs are evocative of the sea-worn coastline he continuously rediscovers both environmentally and historically.
